Stunning LED Picture Quality with Clear Motion Rate 60 Clear Motion
Rate (CMR) is Samsung's more comprehensive and accurate measure for how
well an LCD or LED TV can display fast-moving images. Previously, motion
clarity was expressed simply by the refresh rate, measured in Hz. CMR,
however, takes into account all three factors that contribute to motion
clarity: panel refresh rate, image processor speed and backlight
technology. CMR is measured by determining the thinnest line a TV can
display in a moving image. The thinner the line, the higher the CMR
rating, and the clearer the picture you'll enjoy on the screen.Dynamic

The other reviewers are saying that the sound is terrible on this unit.
They are correct, but their suggested solutions of using external
speakers are not possible. Despite the technical spec on Amazon showing
"1 digital output" in fact there are no audio outputs at all, not even a
headphone jack! I just confirmed this with Samsung. The support guy
apologized for the total lack of audio outputs. I'll be sending this
one back, extremely rare for me!
'm a Samsung fan but very disappointed with this device. The picture is
great. 720p on a small screen looks like true HD. But, we can't get
past the terrible audio. As a thin flat panel TV, the speakers are very
small and fire down from the bottom of the TV. There are no lower
frequencies to speak of because of the nanometer sized speakers,
regardless of the sound mode selected or the equalizer settings. So the
sound is very brassy. Using the stand and sitting the TV on a hard
surface, makes the high frequencies so brassy, the set is practically
unlistenable. We have the set sitting on a towel - which helps a
little. But we're very disappointed. We're looking at using a small
sound bar but we're saddened at the idea that we have to go to this
additional expense to compensate for this deficiency. If you're
planning to simply use this TV for video and using another method for
audio, the set is a great buy and I'd recommend it. If you're planning
to use the TV's speakers for audio, I suggest you look elsewhere.
Bought this TV without prior viewing it in a store. TV has a very nice
picture at all angles, we placed it in our kitchen under the cabinet and
it it looks great, the slim design is perfect. Sound is very good. We
had to replace a COBY brand 15" TV that was struck by lightning, what a
great upgrade. I don't have anything negative to say.
I was shocked at Samsung for having a TV that did not work. I have five
Samsung TVs in my house with no issues. I reorder a Samsung again and
wilthout a hesitation. I knew I was in for trouble when the box came
re-sealed finger prints on the screen too. I knew it was a returned
product and they ( Amazon) sent it back out. I sent it back to Amazon
within 24 hours. I give two stars only because Amazon sent out a
defective product. I know Amazon will make good on any product they
sell, not an issue.
Picture is great, sound is not-so-good, and if you plan on using the
stand that comes with this TV, you'll find it supported just by two
small screws, very flimsy. Tried several strategies to tighten the
screws to a snug, non-wobbly fit. Just poor quality. I'm very
disappointed in Samsung for producing a stand like this to go with their
usually great product. The TV simply won't stand safely and I don't
want to have to mount a 19" TVThe audio from TV in larger room might be unacceptable for many people.
There are no audio out jacks on the TV, so I bought external speakers
(Logitechs) and grab audio from my cable box which has audio out jacks
(I use the RCAs). Sound via the external speakers are great. LED do
have the problem that one needs to view video directly in front to have
best quality (if you view from side or above or below the video is poor
(especially color). But, all LEDs are that way. I prefer the old
Cathode Ray Tubes, but can't buy CRTs very easily. My old Sony CRT has
much better video quality, IMHO
When putting the tv on the stand it leaned forward and down. There was
no way to adjust this. The only way you could watch the tv was laying
down.
I purchased this TV to hang in my bathroom to watch the news as I get
ready for work. The picture is bright, sharp and crisp and is the
perfect size for my bathroom. The pricing here on Amazon was $164 vs.
$199 for the same model of TV at my Houston area Fry's Electronics which
made me even happier. If you're looking for a smaller tv with a great
picture and value, you can't go wrong with this one!
If you're looking to hang this TV, I also bought - and recommend - this wall mount bracket: B000ID7QNI as it was $40 cheaper than Best Buy and very simple to install and mount to th eTV We had a ViewSonics 15" TV. We use this TV in the Kitchen. The tuner was so bad we had a hard time loading Channels 7 and 10 via antenna. Replacing it with the Samsung was like heaven. It always works. I believe it has a stronger tuner! We're believers in Samsung products. In addition to this 19" wonder, We have a 55" that is wonderful. TV is convenient for small space living.
It will fit almost any where TV viewing is desired.
Its versatility with the computer is a great feature! Great little TV for our bedroom! The sound is plenty loud- I tried it with the big Tv, fan, and a/c running and could hear it just fine. The picture is great and I mounted it on a swivel mount. I will say the sound quality is not as nice as a larger TV but that is to be expected. Also, I love the CC button on the remote and sleep timer! I ordered this for use in our kitchen/breakfast area. It was very simple to set up and has a satisfactory viewing angle range and good quality sound. If you're looking for a super performing TV with unsurpassed picture look elsewhere. At 19" it has good resolution and works well in as utilitarian setting. I have a small amount of space in my room that I could use for my tv, the old one I had for about, 12 years, it wasn't a samsung, but it worked great up until recently(it had a built in vhs player....it tried to eat the tapes), and it refused to pick up any channels or even connect to my 360 within the last few months. So I decided to find a new tv.
I wanted something that would fit in the space I had, about 24 inches were available, and it had to have a good picture since I would use it for gaming, as well has being with in my budget. Looked around at all the stores in my area and nothing really fit the bill. So I came here to look around, found a few others that looked like they would work, but this is the one that I liked best.
It came quickly, and I had it set up(almost) completly after opening it. The only thing that I didn't know about was that it had a built in scanner, or whatever it's called that allows you to pick up the channels if you don't have cable or satlilite. I had a converter box before, and so I had it set up with the box, and the TV wouldn't pick up any channels. My dad is the one that figured out that I didn't need the box and now I get more channels that I didn't before with my old tv and the box. So that's a plus.I was getting this monitor for home after we had gotten large monitors at work and realized how nice they were. This has been a horrible experience from the word go. The cables they sent with the monitor are not compatible with anything laptop, desktop nada.... I have yet to see anything on my 19 inch screen but check video monitor. HP technical support had me purchase 2 incorrect replacement cables to get this to attach to my laptop as an additional monitor. Even one star is too many. Have this product sitting on a kitchen cabinet. Sound quality questions? Folks it's a 19inch, sitting on a cabinet! Biggest surprise? That if the channel has an available HD feed from my cable company without a converter box, it will receive it on the set without any special adapters except a cable connection. My response to both SAMSUNG and COX CABLE, WOW! Needless to say, picture quality is excellent. Set up? A child could do it. I have a Samsung 52" LCD sitting in my living room. Being happy with the quality of that product led me to order the 19" LED. Small, thin, lightweight, and great picture quality, even on non-HD channels. Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a nice small addition in a kitchen or bedroom. After twelve years of loyal service, our Sony 13-inch Trinitron analog television died of picture tube failure. After proper burial rites, we researched all the new small televisions that would fit into our kitchen. We first brought home a Samsung 19-inch LED TV (UN19D4003) because Consumer Reports said it had the best picture in its class. It was rated at the top along with Toshiba. Its sound was muffled, low volume and incomprehensible. The speakers face backwards, towards the wall. The Samsung was immediately returned to the store. We needed good auditory qualities in a noisy kitchen.
Next we listened to a side-by-side comparison of Insignia's 19-inch LED TV(NS-19E320A13) with Toshiba's 19-inch LED TV (19L4200U). The Toshiba was by far louder and clearer with larger amplifiers. The Toshiba's picture has less glare than the Samsung, easier on the eyes. Toshiba has the Dynalight backlight. We bought the Toshiba.
The only drawback is the need for two remotes. Our DIRECTV remote is needed to change channels, and the volume control is on the Toshiba remote.
